Calculating the necessary ingredients for your party
Cocktail calculator
🍹 Planning a party? Calculate the number of cocktails in 1 minute!
The most difficult question when preparing any holiday: “How much alcohol should I buy so that there is enough for everyone, but there is no leftover?”. Our calculator solves this problem using proven bar formulas.
🚀 What this tool can do:
- Takes into account the duration of the party (for a “Welcome drink” you need less than for a party until the morning).
- Counts not only liters, but also the number of bottles.
- Has a mode "No alcohol" for children's parties or car enthusiasts.
What cocktails can be calculated?
We have selected 4 of the most popular drinks for large groups, which are easy to prepare in jugs or large bowls (punch bowls):
Ideal for winter evenings. The calculator will tell you how much wine, juice, spices and oranges you need.
A classic of American parties. A mixture of juices, soda, fruit and base (rum/vodka). Easy to drink and looks beautiful.
Queen of brunches and bachelorette parties. A simple but elegant combination of sparkling wine (brut) and orange juice.
A refreshing option for summer. Calculation of ingredients for cooking in large carafes at once, rather than one glass at a time.
Useful purchasing tips
- Ice is important! The calculator has a hint on the amount of ice. Remember that ice takes up about 30% of the glass's volume. If there is not enough of it, the drinks will be warm and tasteless.
- Supply of glassware: If you use disposable cups, buy them at the rate of 1.5 cups per guest (people often lose or mix up their glasses).
- Budget: To save money, look for deals at supermarkets using the shopping list generated by our calculator. To check discounts, you will need discount calculator.
Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
🔹 What is the volume of drink per person?
It all depends on the selected duration:
—2-3 hours: ~0.5 l per person (2 glasses).
— All evening: ~1.0 l per person.
— Until morning: ~1.5 liters per person.
These are average values, which are usually enough to spare.
🔹 Is it possible to mix drinks in advance?
Mulled wine is best boiled immediately before serving. Punchbecomes tastier if it sits for 1-2 hours. But Mojito and Mimosa (where there is soda) need to be mixed immediately before the guests arrive, otherwise the “bubbles” will fizzle out.
🔹 What to do if there are non-drinkers among the guests?
Simply toggle the Non-Alcoholic Version slider. The calculator will recalculate the recipe, replacing alcohol with juices or soda, preserving the taste of the cocktail.
