Age in months
Accurate baby age calculator with developmental stages

How many months is the baby: Exact age calculator
“We are 1.5 years old” - this is understandable to the grandmother, but incomprehensible to the doctor.
Pediatricians, neurologists and baby food manufacturers live in a world of months. For medicine, the age of “2 years” is too vague a concept. A child at 24 months and at 29 months are two different people according to developmental standards, although both are “two years old.”
🎯 Why know the exact number of months?
- 🍼 Complementary feeding and nutrition: Product introduction schemes are strictly scheduled: 6, 8, 10, 12 months.
- 💉 Vaccinations: DPT/Pentaxim revaccination is done strictly at 18 months (and not just at 1.5 years).
- 📉 WHO standards: Tables height and weight have a step of 1 month.
- 👕 Clothing: Tags on children's items (12M, 18M, 24M, 36M) indicate the months.

🗓️ Critical points of development (in months)
In neurology, there are “decreed deadlines” - the age when a child must master key skills.
3 months
Holds his head upright, physiological hypertonicity disappears, and a “revival complex” appears.
6 months
Turns over from back to stomach, beginning of complementary feeding, eruption of the first lower incisors.
9 months
Crawling on all fours, standing at a support, tweezer grip (takes crumbs with two fingers).
12 months
First independent steps, pointing gesture, first conscious words (“mother”, “give”).
What is the difference between weeks and months?
Parents are often confused. Important to remember:
- 1 month ≠ 4 weeks. A calendar month has 30-31 days, and 4 weeks have only 28 days. Over the course of a year, this error accumulates almost every month!
- Growth leaps (Wonder Weeks) are counted strictly according to weeks from the PDA (date of birth), and not from the actual birth.
- Our calculator calculates calendar months (by dates), as doctors do in the clinic.
