Sushi and roll calculator: accurate calculation of portions for a company
🥢 How to calculate the ideal order of rolls?
Ordering sushi for a group often turns into a lottery: either someone remains hungry, or half the set dries in the refrigerator until the next day. Our online calculator eliminates long calculations and helps you order exactly what you need for a perfect evening.
What does the algorithm take into account?
The calculator builds a calculation based on restaurant consumption standards, dividing the audience and appetite level:
Men
~14 pieces (1.5 - 2 rolls)
Women
~10 pieces (1 - 1.5 rolls)
Children
~6 pieces (0.5 - 1 roll)
🍱 Sets or individual rolls: which is more profitable?
- For two: It is better to choose 3-4 favorite rolls separately. This will allow you to enjoy exactly the flavors that you prefer, without overpaying for the “load” of cheap maki rolls.
- For a company (from 4 people): Definitely choose ready-made sets (combo sets). Restaurants discount volume, so the cost of 1 kilogram in a set is always 15-20% lower.
Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
🔹 How many grams are in one serving of rolls?
A classic portion (for example, “Philadelphia” or “California”) weighs from 220 to 260 grams. Baked and tempura (fried) rolls are usually heavier - from 280 to 320 grams due to the batter and sauce cap.
🔹 How much soy sauce, ginger and wasabi do you need?
Standard consumption per adult: soy sauce - 40 ml (one standard delivery jar), pickled ginger - 20 grams, wasabi - 5 grams. The calculator calculates these additives automatically.
🔹 What to do if the company is very hungry?
Select the “Hungry Party” mode in the calculator. The algorithm will increase portions by 30%. Also, a mix will be an excellent solution for a large party: order a basic number of rolls and add 1-2 pizzas - it’s cheaper and guarantees that everyone will remain full.
