Sandwiches with sprats
🐟 Ideal proportion for your favorite snack
Sandwiches with sprats are the king of the table in the CIS countries, especially on New Year or birthday. But it’s difficult to guess the amount of food: either the bread will run out before the fish, or there will be half an open jar left.
In what situations is this irreplaceable?
When preparing a lot of dishes, it is important not to buy too much. The calculator will help you save your budget by calculating everything down to the cucumber slice.
Are you planning a “clearing” at work? The tool will quickly calculate how many loaves and cans to send to the messenger to the store.
Sprats are an excellent quick snack in nature. Calculate the ingredients in advance so as not to run to the general store for more.
Secrets of delicious sandwiches (Tips)
- Bread matters: You can choose your base in the calculator. For a classic, take a baguette, and if you want the snack to not get soggy longer, choose crackers or toast.
- Butter or mayonnaise? Our algorithm considers butter (this is a classic). If you like garlic mayonnaise, simply replace the pack of butter with a pack of sauce on your shopping list.
- Lemon: We automatically add lemon to the list - its juice perfectly neutralizes the fat content of fish.
Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
🔹 How many fish are in one jar of sprat?
A standard jar (160g) usually contains from 20 to 25 medium-sized fish. Our calculator takes into account the average value (23 pieces) with a small margin in case of broken fish.
🔹 How many sandwiches does one person eat?
It depends on the table format. If this is the only appetizer, put “Generous Treat” (6 pcs). If the table is full of salads, a “Light Snack” (3 pcs) is enough. Standard - 4 pieces per guest.
🔹 Is it possible to exclude onions or eggs?
Of course! Just uncheck the appropriate boxes in the calculator settings, and these products will disappear from the final shopping list.
