🎯 How to correct the rating:

🔢 How is the average score calculated

Our algorithm uses two calculation methods, depending on whether you filled out the "Weights" field:

1. Simple average
(If the “Weights” field is empty)
We add up all the estimates and divide by their number. Ideal for calculating a certificate or if all subjects are equally important.
2. Weighted average
(If weights are specified)
Used in universities (rating system). The exam grade (weight 5) affects the result more than homework (weight 1).

📝 Calculation examples

See how easy it is to count with our calculator:

🎓 Example for a student (with weights):
Semester grades: Exam (weight 5) - 8 points, Coursework (weight 4) - 9 points, Homework (weight 1) - 7, 8, 6.
Enter: Ratings: 8, 9, 7, 8, 6 | Weights: 5, 4, 1, 1, 1
Result: Average score 7.75 (Good).
🏫 Example for a student (without weights):
Quarter marks: 4, 5, 3, 4, 5.
Enter onlyRatings: 4, 5, 3, 4, 5(leave the “Weights” field empty).
Result: Average score 4.2 (Good).

📋 Conversion table: 10 points → 5 points

Many educational institutions (for example, in Belarus or some universities in the Russian Federation) use a 10-point system. To understand your level in a familiar format, use this table:

10-point Rating (5 points) Knowledge level
10 5+ Brilliant
9 5 Excellent
8 4+ Almost excellent
7 4 Good
6 4- Good (within a stretch)
5 3+ Satisfactory
4 3 Passed (minimum)
1-3 2 Unsatisfactory

* Note: The scale may vary from university to university. For an accurate analysis and comparison of shares of success, always check the manual of your faculty.

❓ Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

🔹 What is the “Weight” of the assessment and where should I take it?

Weight is the importance factor. Usually: Exam = 5, Test = 3, Answer in pair = 1. If the teacher did not give you a table of weights, just leave this field empty - the calculator will calculate the usual arithmetic average.

🔹 7 or 8 points - what is that rating?

7 points is a solid “four”.
8 points is a “B plus” or “A minus”, depending on the severity of the teacher.

🔹 How to calculate “Card”?

Pass/Fail is a binary assessment and has no numerical weight. When calculating grade point average (GPA), such subjects are simply skipped. Enter only numeric values.

🔹 How to calculate the certificate score?

A simple average is always used for the certificate. Add up all final grades and divide by the number of subjects. The “Weights” field does not need to be filled in.
