📐 What is the formula for calculating power?
To obtain the result in Kilowatts, use the formula: P (kW) = Torque (Nm) × Revolutions (rpm) / 9549. The factor 9549 comes from converting revolutions per minute to radians per second.
🤔 What is more important: torque or horsepower?
Torque is what pushes the car (acceleration force), and horsepower determines how long the motor can maintain that force at high speed. Torque is important for acceleration from a traffic light, power is important for maximum speed.
📉 Why does power drop at high speeds?
After a certain peak, it becomes more difficult for the engine to “breathe” (fill with air), and the torque drops sharply. Even if the speed increases, the product Torque × Speed becomes smaller.
