🚀 Instant calculation of motion parameters
This tool solves a classic kinematics problem: finding an unknown parameter if you have two others. You don't need to remember school formulas - just enter the data.
Where is this useful?
- 🚗 For drivers: To understand what average speed you need to drive to reach your destination on time. We also recommend that you immediately calculate your trip budget in our fuel consumption calculator.
- 🏃 Athletes:To calculate the pace (pace) of a run or bike ride.
- 📦 For logisticians: To plan delivery routes. If you need to convert hours to minutes or seconds, use time converter.
Basic formulas (Crib)
The calculator works on the basis of three fundamental equations of uniform motion:
V = S / T
(Distance divided by Time)
T = S / V
(Distance divided by Speed)
S = V × T
(Speed times Time)
Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
🔹 In what units should I enter the data?
The main rule is to respect the dimension. If the distance is in kilometers, then the time should be in hours (then the speed will be km/h). If the distance is in meters and the time is in seconds, the speed will be in m/s.
🔹 Can I use decimals?
Yes, of course. You can enter, for example, 1.5 hours (which is equal to 1 hour 30 minutes) or 45.5 km.
🔹 Why is the actual travel time different from the estimated one?
The formula S=V×T calculates ideal uniform motion. In life there are always traffic lights, traffic jams and stops. For real trips, we recommend adding 15-20% reserve to the estimated time.
